Guide to the The Third Act
Welcome to The Third Act.
If this is your first visit, thank you for stopping by.
This publication is built around one simple idea:
Retirement isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of a new chapter.
For most of our lives, we’re defined by our careers, responsibilities and routines. Then one day they end, and we’re left asking questions that don’t come with an instruction manual.
What do I do now?
How do I stay healthy?
How do I avoid loneliness?
Can I still learn new things?
Is it too late to reinvent myself?
These are the questions I explore here.
I’m David, a retired technical support specialist from Britain. This isn’t a place where someone claims to have all the answers. It’s a place where I share my experiences, ideas and experiments as I navigate my own third act—and invite you to do the same.
