When I started Diary of a Nobody, I never intended it to fit neatly into a single category.
It became a place for observations, stories, creativity, retirement, technology, photography and the occasional wandering thought.
Over time, however, two distinct themes began to emerge.
The first is personal: life after retirement, creativity, storytelling, photography, technology and the journey of finding purpose in what I often call the Third Act of life.
The second is broader: observations about society, community, culture and the changing nature of everyday life in Britain.
While these themes are connected, they deserve room to grow in their own way.
For that reason, I have created a new publication called Modern Britain.
Modern Britain will focus on thoughtful observations about society, culture and everyday life in the United Kingdom. It is not intended to be political. It is intended to be observational. A place to ask questions, share reflections and explore how life is changing around us.
Diary of a Nobody will continue exactly as before, remaining the home of personal stories, creativity, photography, technology, the Creative Studio, Notes From The Third Act and Stories From 2045.
If you enjoy reflections on modern society, I invite you to follow Modern Britain.
If you enjoy stories, creativity and the personal journey that inspired this publication, Diary of a Nobody remains your home.
Thank you for reading and for being part of the journey.
The story continues—just on two paths instead of one.
